I am a research associate at the Centre for Earth Observation Science at the University of Manitoba. I study sea ice dynamic and thermodynamic processes in the Beaufort Sea, Hudson Bay and in Northeast Greenland. I also study changes to the Arctic ice pack at regional scales and have been working with the transportation industry to relate changes in the Arctic ice pack to potential changes in the seasonality and routing of arctic marine traffic.
I have taken part in several expeditions onboard ice breakers (CCGS Amundsen), in ice camps and at various research stations in Northeast Greenland (Daneborg, Station Nord).
